What is Physical Therapy?
Physical Therapy is used to help a person recovery from surgery, prevent surgery, or just be able to do more during the day. We work with all kinds of problems including, but not limited to orthopedic issues, TMJ problems, work injuries, dry needling, vertigo, and balance problems. How much does physical therapy cost?
The cost of physical therapy is based on your insurance policy. Some patients pay nothing out of pocket, so contact our office so we can check for you! We don't accept chickens or cows as payment.
How long does a PT visit last?
Most visits last around 1 hour, but we may never let you leave if we really like you.
What do I need to wear for my visit?
You can wear something that isn't too tight allowing access to whatever you need to be seen while allowing for movement, so don't wear your suit of armor.
How do I get physical therapy?
In Alabama, a current referral is required from your medical provider, which could include a medical doctor, osteopathic doctor, dentist, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or chiropractor. We do not accept referrals from your mechanic or the guy at the grocery story, sorry.
Can I go to any therapy clinic I want?
Any therapy order is good at any PT clinic in Alabama, so TELL YOUR DOCTOR TO SEND YOU TO ADVANCING HEALTH PHYSICAL THERAPY
